Have you ever tried adding a few drops of balsamic vinegar to your turkey meatballs? The result will surprise you! Golden turkey meatballs made with bread and fresh aromatic herbs, served on a bed of arugula, drizzled with Colavita Premium Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Colavita Balsamic Vinegar of Modena.
Ingredients for 4 people500 g ground turkey
500 g crustless stale bread (about half a loaf of unsalted bread)
200 ml milk
30 g Parmesan
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
Pepper
2 handfuls of fresh aromatic herbs of your choice
150 ml Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 bunch of arugula
Colavita Balsamic Vinegar of Modena
Cut the bread into large pieces and soak them in milk. Crumble and squeeze out any excess liquid.
Wash, dry, and chop the herbs. Wash the arugula, removing any tough stems.
Mix the bread, egg, Parmesan, herbs, and ground turkey. Add salt and pepper to taste, stirring everything together.
Form small meatballs, about 4 cm in diameter, from the mixture.
Heat 150 ml of extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat: it should be hot but not smoking.
Add the meatballs and cook for about 5–6 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
Serve immediately on a bed of arugula with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
