Classic Hummus with Toasted Pitta Bread

Try this tasty chickpea hummus served with toasted pitta bread and our Extra Virgin Olive Oil.


400g of Colavita Chickpeas

2 spoons of tahini paste

1 spooks of Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 lemon


1 garlic clove


Paprika to garnish


Drain the chickpeas, keeping aside a little of the liquid.

Place in a bowl with the 2 spoons of tahini paste and the juice of 1 lemon.

Add the garlic clove, chopped finely, with the oil and a pinch of salt.

Blend together with a hand blender, adding the chickpea liquid if necessary.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl or plate, garnish with some olive oil, pepper and a sprinkling of paprika with toasted pitta or durum wheat bread.
