Pugliese Acquasale (Traditional Puglia Bread Salad)

If you love bold flavors but don’t want to give up freshness and authenticity, Pugliese Acquasale is the dish for you: a simple, traditional recipe that’s light yet full of taste, featuring seasonal vegetables and, most importantly… the dressing. For this, we’ve chosen our Premium Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, perfect with its fruity and slightly pungent notes.

Ingredients:

  • 1–2 cucumbers

  • 1 small red onion

  • 1 round tomato

  • 1–2 slices of stale bread

  • Colavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Oregano

  • Salt

  • Pepper

Peel the onion and slice it thinly. Wash and chop the tomato and cucumbers into small pieces.


Break the bread into chunks, quickly soak it in salted water, and place it in a large bowl.


Add the chopped onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes, mixing everything well.


Season to taste with oregano, salt, pepper, and extra virgin olive oil.
